The Frontier Homestead family recently lost one of our own. Summer Lyftogt, our guest services manger and volunteer coordinator suddenly passed away peacefully in her home on November 6, 2018. Summer had been living in Cedar City for the past seven years and worked at Frontier Homestead in a various capacities for nearly five years.
“Summer was a key part of our team. You can walk around Frontier Homestead, inside and out, and see her hand in many things.” said Todd Prince, Frontier Homestead State Park Manager, “She will be greatly missed.” According to Museum Curator, Ryan Paul, “Summer genuinely cared abot people, both staff and our visitors. She worked hard to create a pleasant environment for all who came into her presence.” Summer Lyftogt was 63. Farewell to our friend.
