Making History Your Story
Throughout the grounds and museum visitors can find self-directed activity stations aimed at transporting visitors back in time. Wash laundry by hand behind one of the oldest cabins in Southern Utah, load a covered wagon, and see how you'd fair as a prospector while panning for gold. These hands-on activities are available to all visitors throughout or spring and summer season as well as a variety of indoor activities offered once snow begins to fall.
The mission of the Frontier Homestead is to connect people to traditions, knowledge and ideas.
Our outdoor activities involving water (gold panning and pioneer laundry) are currently closed for winter.
Enjoy the other activities throughout the museum and buildings and be sure to visit us again this spring!
